Dr Lalith Gamage

Paediatric Emergency Physician
& General Paediatrician
Priority Paediatrics

“I am very passionate about caring for children, from newborns to teenagers, with simple and complex medical problems and believe in guiding the child and the family through different challenges to optimise both physical and psychosocial outcomes.”

Lalith works at Women’s & Children’s Hospital (WCH) as a Consultant Paediatric Emergency Physician and a Consultant Paediatrician at Port Augusta. He has been working in South Australia since 2006 and has over 15 years of experience in Paediatrics.

 

He completed his specialist training at Women’s & Children’s Hospital (WCH), Flinders Medical Centre, Lyell McEwin and Port Augusta Hospital. He gained his dual fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (Paediatrics) and Emergency Medicine in 2012.

Dr Lalith is also lecturer at Rural School of Medicine at Adelaide University, keenly involved in teaching medical students in addition to being an instructor of APLS (Advanced Paediatric Life Support).

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Paediatric Emergency Medicine (FRACP)

  • Diploma of Child and Youth Health (DCH), Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide.

  • Diploma of Child and Youth Health (DCH), Sri Lanka (PGIM)

  • Doctor of Medicine in Paediatrics, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), University of Colombo, Sri Lanka
